Calculation of Various Quantities for Arbitrary Shape Cross Sections - 'JIP-TOOLS-4'

We will calculate the cross-sectional area and the second moment of area for an arbitrary shape cross-section.

The calculation of various quantities for arbitrary shape cross-sections using "JIP-TOOLS-4" allows for the free combination of rectangular, circular, and polygonal shapes to compute the cross-sectional area and the second moment of area for arbitrary shape cross-sections (concrete sections, steel sections, composite sections). Reinforcement bars and PC steel materials can be freely arranged. It also supports composite sections of metal and concrete. Additionally, the created combined shapes can be freely rotated, allowing calculations around any axis. Multiple cross-sections can be managed within a single data set. For more details, please download the catalog. *The catalog is available from the "Urban Development Database Site" (https://kensetsu.ipros.jp/product/detail/2000095755).

[Column] What is the calculation of the expansion and contraction amount of expansion devices?

Explaining the specific ways to seek each factor! Also introducing the main causes of expansion and contraction.

The expansion and contraction of a bridge is very important information when selecting expansion devices. Bridge girders expand and contract regularly due to changes in temperature. To accommodate this, expansion devices are installed, making the calculation of expansion and contraction very important. However, the amount of expansion and contraction is not determined solely by temperature changes. It is complex because various conditions, such as drying and deformation due to loads, must be taken into account. In this article, we will clearly explain how to determine the expansion and contraction of bridge girders. We have summarized the key points and main ideas, so you can grasp the overall concept. *For detailed content of the column, please refer to the related links.
